The Mix new website

Following our merger with The Mix last year, we’re proud to be continuing to drive our mission of transforming the mental health of the nation, delivering products and services to support children, young people and adults at scale and strengthening our early intervention offer to deliver even greater impact.

Today heralds an exciting new step in our mission, as we introduce our brand-new website for The Mix - a dynamic hub for an expanded range of support services with a focus on content, community, coaching and crisis support, designed with young people, for young people.

Developed hand in hand with young people to put their needs at its heart, we have evolved The Mix’s digital platformto better meet the challenges they face, offering more ways than ever to access support, connect with a community and build mental wellbeing and resilience. The new site has improved navigation and functionality, with accessibility considered at every step of the user journey, reflecting our commitment to creating inclusive, digital-first solutions that put user voices front and centre.

Expanding Our Digital Ecosystem of Support

As part of this transformation, we are excited to be launching our brand new self-paced learning modules, empowering young people to develop the skills and confidence to manage their mental health independently, at their own pace.

Soon to launch as well is the UK’s first national Peer Chat service – enabling young people to speak directly to trained peers who truly understand what they’re experiencing. Whether they need advice, reassurance or simply someone to listen, Peer Chat provides a safe and welcoming environment for real connection.

Alongside these exciting new offerings, our revitalised support ecosystem now includes:

  • Expert article content covering everything from mental health and relationships to work, money and wellbeing.
  • Our trusted Community and Discussion Boards, where young people can share experiences, listen to others and find connection at any time of the day or night.
  • Coaching from our counsellors, offering confidential, short-term support to help young people work through problems and find ways to cope.
  • Urgent crisis support through our Shout 24/7 text service, providing immediate help to young people across the UK.
  • Vibrant social media channels packed with support, inspiration, real conversations and community connection.
  • The Mix Six Podcast, where no topic is off-limits and guests dive into the subjects that really matter to them.
  • Chatbot, helping young people quickly and easily find the right support whenever they need it.
  • Volunteering opportunities: learn new skills and make a direct difference through peer-to-peer support, counselling, content or policy.

We are proud to now be the largest provider of free, digital mental health support for children, young people and adults in the UK and we are deeply grateful to our funders for making this next chapter possible. Together with our partners, we can continue to innovate, expand and reach even more young people across the UK, who desperately need access to early-intervention and crisis support.

We know our mission doesn’t end here. We’re on an exciting journey and we’d love more people to join us - whether through exploring our services, joining our community, volunteering, fundraising or partnering with us to drive future impact - you can help us to transform the mental health of the nation.

This moment marks a new era for Mental Health Innovations as we scale up our charitable reach and impact with the launch of new digital services that will allow millions more young people to access free, early intervention and support for their mental health and wellbeing. Our new site for The Mix is a reimagining of what digital support can look like when young people are truly at the heart of the solution.
